He thanked <br />the Council for the opportunity to appear before them. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that the Commissioners Court had set <br />March 15, at 9:30 a.m., as the date for the joint meeting <br />requested by the Counci I to discuss flood control in Hays <br />County and San Marcos. <br /> <br />The City Manager requested authorization to advertise for <br />bids on a 1000 gpm fire truck. Mr. Bean said the truck <br />wo~ld cost about $25,000. Mr. Damon moved that the City <br />Manager be authorized to advertise for bids on a 1000gpm <br />fire truck. Mr. Bean <br />said it was being painted at Gary Job Corps Center. He <br />sai,d bids on the. chass is wou I d be taken soon. <br /> <br />Mr. Bean said he would I ike to advertise for bids on a tractor <br />mo'~ing machine, a budgeted item, for use on grounds and parks. <br />He said the cost would be about $3000. Dr. Craddock moved that <br />the City Manager be authorized to ask for bids on a tractor <br />mower.
