<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />($500,000.00), issued by the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the <br />purpose of constructing street improvements in said City, including <br />the purchase and installation of a synchronized traffic signal light <br /> <br />system and necessary curb and sidewalk installation, under and by <br />virtue of the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, the <br />Charter of said City, and in pursuance of an ordinance passed by <br />the City Council of said City, which ordinance is of record in <br />the Minutes of said City Council. <br /> <br />The date of this bond, in conformity with the ordinance above <br />mentioned, is March 1, 1968. <br />The City of San Marcos reserves the option of redeeming this <br />bond on March 1, 1985, or on any interest payment date thereafter, <br />by paying principal and accrued interest thereon, and in the event <br /> <br />this bond shall be called for redemption prior to its maturity, <br /> <br />notice thereof in writing shall be given by the City Secretary of <br />said City to The American National Bank of Austin, Austin, Texas, <br />at least thirty (30) days prior to the date so fixed for redemption; <br />and said City Secretary shall also cause a copy of said notice to <br />be published in a financial journal published in the State of <br />Texas one time at least thirty (30) days prior to the date fixed <br />for redemption. Should this bond not be presented for payment on <br />the date fixed for its redemption, it shall cease to bear interest <br />from and after said date. <br /> <br />(NOTE TO PRINTER: The foregoing paragraph applies only to <br />Bonds Numbers 51 to 100, inclusive). <br /> <br />IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED AND RECITED that the issuance of <br /> <br />this bond, and the series of which it is a part, is duly authorized <br /> <br />by law and by a vote of the qualified property taxpaying voters <br />of the City of San Marcos, who owned taxable property in said City <br />and who had duly rendered the same for taxation, voting at an <br />election held for that purpose within said City on September 27, <br />1966; that all acts, conditions and things required to be done <br />precedent to and in the issuance of this series of bonds, and of <br />this bond, have been properly done and performed and have happened <br />
