<br />'-'7 <br />/" <br />.......J <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />OFFERING A REWARD FOR THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ANY PERSON FOUND GUILTY OF DAMAGING OR DESTROYING <br /> <br />AN OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE WITHIN THE COR- <br /> <br />PORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it bas come to tbe attention of tbe City Council of tbe <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, tbat tbe damaging and destruction of offi- <br /> <br />cial traffic control devices witbin tbe corporate limits of tbis muni- <br /> <br />cipality bas increased to sucb an extent as to amount to a menace to <br /> <br />tbe peace, safety and general welfare of tbis community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is believed tbat tbe offering of a monetary reward <br /> <br />may lead to tbe arrest and conviction of a greater portion of tbe <br /> <br />persons responsible for sucb vandalism. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />1. Tbat tbe City of San Marcos, Texas, bereby offers a reward <br /> <br />of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) for tbe arrest and con- <br /> <br />viction of eacb person found guilty in a court of competent jurisdic- <br /> <br />tion of damaging or destroying an official traffic signal device witb- <br /> <br />in tbe corporate limits of tbe City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />2. Said offer of reward shall remain outstanding until revoked <br /> <br />by resolution of tbe City Council of tbe City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />3.
