<br />regular meeting, july 8, 1968 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />Mr. Dannelley seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The Mayor stated a thorough study should be made before any <br />new changes are put into effect, <br /> <br />I <br />The City Manager reported that Councilmen Flores and Dannelley, <br />acting as the Land Committee, had assisted in the negotiation <br />for purchase of a piece pf property needed to connect Alabama <br />Street and Ellis. City easements also cross the property. <br />The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Moreno, had originally asked <br />$6500 for the house and lot. After negotiation, they agreed <br />to accept $2250 for the lot alone; the house was to be removed. I <br />Councilman Dannelley moved that the City purcbase the Moreno <br />lot for $2250. Councilman Flores seconded the motion and on <br />roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Dannelley, Flores, Serur, Smith <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion.carried. <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that the City had earned $14,064.12 <br />interest on investments for the period covering Oct. 1, 1967 <br />to June 3a, 1968.
