ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SEPTEMBER 20,lY6~ Present: Mayor Ellis Serur I Councilmen: Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Ronald J. Dannelley Luciano H. Flores William C. Pool, Ph.D. Hollis W. Smith Jerry lave sky City Manager City Secretary Richard G. Bean Dorothy O. Worrell Visitors: James R. Cole, Bill Veidt The Mayor .called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. I James R. Cole of Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, the City's consulting engineers, told the Council he had made a careful analysis of the three lowest bids submitted for construction ot the Waste Water Treatment Plant. He recommended that the bid be awarded to the lowest bidder, Boswell Company of Bryan. He explained that by deducting the first four of the alternates, the low bid came to $419,598.00. The Mayor introduced a Resolution accepting the bid. Councilman Dannelley moved approval of the Resolution, and authorization for the Mayor to sign all necessary documents. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, lavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved. Dr. Pool moved that Tobin Research, Inc. be employed by the City to acquire right-of-way, easements, etc. needed for the Water & Sewer Improvement Project, on the basis of the supplement to the proposal presented by Tobin, September 23. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, lavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. I Dr. Craddock moved that Arthur C. Troilo of San Antonio be engaged for any legal work that might arise out of acquisition of the Water & Sewer Project right-of-way and easements. Councllman Dannelley seconded the motion and on roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Oannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, lavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
