AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY I WHEREAS, the owner of a strip of land, said strip not exceeding one-half (!) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present' residents, qualified to vote for members of the State legislature, have petit- ioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits, a copy of said petition, with plat and metes and bounds description, being hereto attached, marked uExhibit A", and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City, in accordance with law, I Said strip of land is described as 1.400 acres of land out of the T.J. Chambers Survey of Hays County, Texas. This parcel of land is zoned UR", residential, single family. PASSED on first reading January 13, 1969. PASSED on second reading January 27, 1969.
