<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, William C. Pool has served the City of San Marcos <br /> <br />as Councilman for six years; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Pool has chosen not to file for reelection <br /> <br />to Place Four in the coming election; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Pool accomplished certain things which <br /> <br />deserve recognition, specifically, approval of his Resolution <br /> <br />establishing in June, 1963, an Equal Opportunities Committee, <br /> <br />converted in August, 1964 to the Community Relations Committee; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Pool's awareness of the needs of minority groups <br /> <br />and his deep concern for civil rights contributed to the <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />development in San Marcos of harmonious and enlightened <br /> <br />relations among all its citizens; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Pool has made constructive contributions to <br /> <br />the progress of San Marcos in numerous other areas of vital <br /> <br />concern to the City: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT WILLIAM C.
