Preliminr:HY Phose: (1) .Discuss proiect with OWNER. (2) Make preliminafY studies of project. (3) Prepare <br />~copie5 of preliminary la"youts, report, construction cost estimate, and recommendations, where applicoble. <br />(4) Provide any additional services authorized and to be paid for separately. <br /> <br />B. Design Phase: (1) Plan, arrange, and interpret results of required surveys; borings, and tests performed for <br />OWNER'S account. (2) Prepare, and furnish OWNER, __ sets of contract drawings and specifications. (3) <br />Prepare cost estimate and bidding documents. (4) Provide any additional services authorized and to be paid <br />for separately. <br /> <br />C. Construction Phase: (1) If desired by OWNER, assist in securing and anclyzing bids; recommend award. <br />(2) Administer construction contract. (3) Interpret drcwings C1nd specifications. (4) Review shop drawings/ contrae;- <br />tor's pay estimates, and results of tests on materials and equipment, (5) Conduct final inspection. (6) Supervise <br />required performance tests or initial operation of project. (7) Provide any additional services (such os field <br />surveys or resident inspection) authorized and to be paid for separately. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5. COMPENSATION FOR BASIC ENGINEERING SERVICES: <br />Engineer's compensation for the services desc:ribed in 4, abover shalt be within the range recommended by <br />the Texas Society of Professional Engineers for work of comparable magnitude and complexity. COMPENSA nON FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES, <br />When such ser'vices are authorized by OWNER, ENGINEER'S compensation sholl be Salory Cost times~. <br />Reimbursement for nOli-labor' and subcontract expense shall be at direct cost plus 10%, except: transportation by <br />ENGINEER'S motor vehicles, at lOrt per mile; reproduction work performed by ENGINEER with his own equip- <br />ment, at prevailing commercial rates_ <br />Payment shall be mode monthly on invoices submitted by ENGINEER for services rendered and expenses <br />incurred. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Ie <br /> <br />
