<br />/ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE RESOLUTION OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL PASSED AND APPROVED JULY 22, 1969, <br />CONCERNING THE NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT <br />PROGRAM NO. TEX. A-6 FOR SAN MARCOS IN ORDER <br />TO MAKE ADDITIONAL FINDINGS IN CONNECTION <br />WITH STRUCTURES AND IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE <br />PROGRAM AREA. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by Resolution on July 22, 1969, approved a <br />Neighborhood Development Program for the City of San Marcos known as <br />Ne Lghborhood Development Program No. TEX. A-6; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the public hearing held by this Council on <br />July 22, 1969, a nd the evidence, documents, exhibits, testimony, and <br />analyses presented as a part of the application by the Urban Renewal Agency, <br />a II of which were presented to this Council at such hearing, Council wishes <br />to make additional findings concerning conditions in the project area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />In addition to the findings in the Resolution of July 22, <br />1969, concerning the Neighborhood Development Program <br />TEX. A-6, for San Marcos, the Councll now hereby finds <br />and determines as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />It is further hereby found and determined that those areas <br />within the Neighborhood Development Program scheduled <br />for acquisition by the Agency in the Plan are located within <br />slum clearance and redevelopment sections based upon the <br />findings of this Council that at least 50% of the structures <br />in such sections are dilapidated beyond the point of feasible <br />rehabilitation, or are otherwise unfit for rehabilitation, and <br />that there exist other blighting characteristices, such as over- <br />crowding of structures on the la nd, mixed uses of structures, <br />narrow, crooked, inconvenient, congested, unsafe, or other- <br />wise deficient streets or deficiencies in public utilities or <br />recreational and community facilities. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />All other provisions of the Resolution of July 22, 1969, concerning <br />the Neighborhood Development Program are to remain in full force <br />a nd effect. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this ~ day of July <br /> <br />1969. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />>. <br />,C:~_.,{/!<~; <br /> <br />./,_.; <br />/ <br /> <br />, ./,,- , <br />)~~:--~(.-',/;J-k~< ~-- <br /> <br />Ellis Serur, "'Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />rrell, City Secretary <br />
