1.6 ADDITIONAL SERVICES/CHANGE IN SERVICES <br />1.6.1 Since the Engineer's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Engineer for additional <br />services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described in this <br />Agreement. The Engineer will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the City's <br />authorization before initiating any additional services. The following items are specifically <br />considered to be additional services and are subject to the provisions of this Subsection: <br />a) The scope of work and cost proposal are based on the assumption that Option 1 <br />(identified in Subsection 1.2.2) will be chosen for development into the construction <br />plans and specifications. If this Option is not chosen, additional services may be required <br />to accommodate the design for Options 2 and 3. <br />b) Roadway design does not include rehabilitation or reconstruction of Chestnut. A traffic <br />analysis and environmental report will determine if any roadway improvements will be <br />done on Chestnut. <br />c) Full-time Field Inspection is not included in this Scope. Construction services are limited <br />to Items 1.5.12 through 1.5.31; Construction services are based on a 12-month schedule, <br />actual construction time may vary and will require additional services. <br />d) Survey services not included are as described below: <br />i) Design Survey services and definition of existing ROW for Chestnut Street from LBJ <br />Drive northwesterly to Holland Street (+/- 3,000 feet) utilizing the scope of services <br />as set forth above. <br />ii) Surveying services related to the acquisition of additional ROW. These services may <br />include the preparation of a Strip Map to show the existing ROW and proposed <br />acquisition parcels for the project limits, and parcel sketches and metes and bounds <br />descriptions for individual parcels or easements determined by the approved <br />engineering alignment. <br />iii) Additional field surveying for engineering design or topographic surveying. <br />iv) Staking or location of additional boreholes. <br />v) Additional staking/restaking of the proposed Engineer's centerline/baseline. <br />vi) Boundary surveying for the Project beyond that outlined herein. <br />vii) Staking and clearing of the existing ROW lines beyond that needed to provide the <br />design survey described herein. <br />e) Environmental services not included in this agreement are as listed below: <br />i) Environmental services are based on a Categorical Exclusion for Option 1. <br />ii) Wetland permitting and/or mitigation planning, if necessary. <br />iii) Presence/absence surveys for endangered species, if necessary, and if Section 7 or 10 <br />consultations are necessary. <br />iv) Any curation associated with the cultural resources or above-ground resources survey <br />WPAP preparation, if determined to be necessary. <br />1.6.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by Engineer <br />must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br />24 <br />
