RESOLUTION 2010 -60R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN <br />SERVICES NO. 1 TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND <br />GOMILLION KESTER ZIMMERMAN, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECT SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS RECREATION HALL RENOVATIONS <br />PROJECT TO INCREASE THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT SUM FROM <br />$48,000.00 TO $86,300.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN SERVICES AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. On June 5, 2009, the City entered into an agreement with Gomillion Kester <br />Zimmerman, Inc. (the "Agreement ") for the provision of professional architect services in <br />connection with the City Recreation Hall Renovations Project (the "Project ") in the amount of <br />$48,000.00. <br />2. Additional funding is necessary in order to complete the Project, however, the <br />approval of this Authorization of Change in Services No. 1 will cause the Agreement to exceed <br />the authorized threshold of $50,000.00. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached Authorization of Change in Services No. 1 in the amount of <br />$38,300.00 to the Professional Services Agreement with Gomillion Kester Zimmerman, Inc. is <br />approved. <br />PART 2. This increase of the original contract amount from $48,000.00 to <br />$86,300.00 is approved. <br />PART 3. The City Manager, Rick Menchaca, is authorized to execute the attached <br />Authorization of Change in Services on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 20th day of April, 2010. <br />• <br />
