60. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2004- 59 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, IN SUPPORT OF AN APPLICATION BY HUNTER ROAD <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING, LTD. ON BEHALF OF WILLOW SPRINGS <br />SENIOR RESIDENCES, A 180 UNIT AFFORDABLE HOUSING <br />DEVELOPMENT RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR ELDERLY PERSONS, <br />TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, FOR A TAX CREDIT ANNUAL ALLOCATION IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $435,179.00; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City of San Marcos wishes to serve the affordable housing needs of <br />families and individuals, and supports the development of affordable housing within the <br />City. <br /> <br /> 2. Hunter Road Affordable Housing, Ltd. Is making application to the Texas <br />Department of Housing and Community Affairs Tax Credit program, to obtain project <br />financing which will ensure the affordability of units. <br /> <br /> 3. The development of Willow Springs Senior Residences is consistent with the <br />City of San Marcos's Comprehensive Plan adopted in February, 1996, which permits <br />development of multi-family units at appropriate locations within the City limits. <br /> <br /> 4. The City of San Marcos wishes to support the Hunter Road Affordable <br />Housing, Ltd. application for an allocation of Tax Credits for Willow Springs Senior <br />Residences, pursuant to Section 50-.5(a) of the 2004 Qualified Allocation Plan and Rules, <br />as a means fo benefitting City residents. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby approves this <br />Resolution in support and approval of Hunter Road Affordable Housing Ltd.'s application <br />to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to promote the development <br />of affordable apartments that are 100% dedicated to senior citizens whose income is 60% <br />or I ess o f t he A ustin-Round Rock Metropolitan A rea Median Income, through Willow <br />Springs Senior Residences in the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br /> PART 2. <br />passage. <br /> <br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 22nd day of Ma,:ch ,2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
