I I I RESOLUTION NO. 1979-19-R 59 RESOLUTION NO. 1979- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AND THE SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC); AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) of the United States Department of Agriculture has experienced an urgent need for facilities in which to conduct its program; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas indicated its desire to provide facilities for WIC when it unanimously passed on February 26, 1979 a motion to lease a City-owned structure located at 401 Jackman in the City of San Marcos, Texas to WIC; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Part I. That the lease agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas and the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) for the structure located at 401 Jackman in the City of San Marcos, Texas, which is attached hereto and for all intents and purposes made a part hereof, be, and is, hereby, approved. Part 2. That Mayor Robert L. Cavazos, or his successor, be and is hereby authorized to execute same on behalf of the City of San Marcos, Texas. Part 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage.
