72. <br />Regular Meeting April 12, 2004 Page 8 <br /> <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Taylor moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Narvaiz seconded <br />the motion. Mr. Taylor inquired as to the City use of propane vehicles. <br />Mr. O'Leary stated Staff will explore the possibility and look at the cost <br />of every vehicle the City purchases. Mr. Taylor stated he was glad to see <br />this Agreement occur. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Narvaiz, Thomaides, Montoya, Taylor and Diaz. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Mihalkanin and Habingreither (disclosure affidavits-business <br />entity filed). <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration Item 33 removed from the <br />consent agenda, approval to authorize receipt of bids for the sale of City <br />property, a portion of Lot 8, Block 2, Katy Addition, located in an <br />unopened seqment of the 300 Block of McGehee Street. Mr. Thomaides moved <br />for approval to authorize receipt of bids for the sale of City property, a <br />portion of Lot 8, Block 2, Katy Addition, located in an unopened seqment <br />of the 300 Block of McGehee Street and Ms. Narvaiz seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin inquired as to the zoning in this block. Mr. Mark Taylor <br />stated he does not have this information, but will get back to the <br />Council. The Council then voted unanimously for approval to authorize <br />receipt of bids for the sale of City property, a portion of Lot 8, Block <br />2, Katy Addition, located in an unopened seqment of the 300 Block of <br />McGehee Street. <br /> <br />Ms. Narvaiz moved the Council reconvene at 9:28 p.m. and Mr. Thomaides <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced a discussion regarding update on Downtown <br />building height restrictions. Carol Barrett, Director of Planning <br />Department, stated the Main Street Advisory Board recommended to Council <br />height restrictions. She also stated the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />has held public hearings. She stated this is an ongoing discussion with <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission. They have even held joint Workshops <br />with the Main Street Advisory Board. She stated this will go before the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission at their next meeting scheduled for April <br />13, 2004. Mr. Thomaides inquired as to the boundary lines. Ms. Barrett <br />stated the boundary lines the Main Street Advisory Board recommended were <br />subject of a public hearing. Ms. Barrett stated she would provide a <br />status report after the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting in the <br />Council Update and will bring this back to Council as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> <br />
