<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />116 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1979-39_R <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Ordinance 1979- 20, the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, appointed the members of the Board <br />of Equalization for the year 1979 and set the date for the <br />first meeting of said Board as 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, <br />1979; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Board is charged by the Charter of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, with the duty of examining and, if <br />necessary, revising the assessments as returned by the City <br />Tax Assessor-Collector, to the end that all property within the <br />City shall be assessed as fairly and as uniformly as possible; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an assessment ratio must be determined so that the <br />City Tax Assessor-Collector may establish the assessed tax <br />values to be so examined by said Board; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the assessed tax values for the 1979- <br />80 fiscal year be based upon a seventy per centum (70%) assess- <br />ment ratio to market value. <br /> <br />PART 2.
