I I I 117 RESOLUTION NO. 1979-40-R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE COMPLETION OF TENNIS COURTS CONSTRUCTED AT RIO VISTA PARK IN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT FOR THIS CONSTRUCTION; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has contracted with Stratford Constructors for the construction of two tennis courts at Rio Vista Park, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the construction of these tennis courts was completed on May 10, 1979; and, WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has determined that the contractual provisions for construction of said tennis courts has been met by Stratford Constructors; and, WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends that the City Council accept the tennis courts for use by the City effective on the 8th day of May, 1979 and authorize final payment to Stratford Constructors in the amount of Eight Thousand, Fifty-Two Dollars and Fifty-Two Cents ($8,052.52); and, WHEREAS, Stratford Constructors requests final payment for the completion of the tennis courts; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the work performed by Stratford Constructors in constructing the tennis courts at Rio Vista Park be, and is hereby, accepted as being complete effective on the 10th day of May, 1979 pursuant to the terms of the contract for said construction. SECTION 2. That the City of San Marcos is hereby authorized to make the final payment to the Stratford Constructors Company for said construction in the amount of Eight Thousand, Fifty-Two Dollars and Fifty-Two Cents ($8,052.52). SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
