I I I ORDINANCE NO. 1979-30 171 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 27-5, ENTITLED "FARES" OF ARTICLE I ENTITLED "IN GENERAL" OF CHAPTER 27, ENTITLED "TAXICABS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, BY REPEALING SUBSECTION te) OF SAID SECTION WHICH SET THE RATE OF FARE FOR ALL PASSENGERS OF ANY TAXICAB SERVICE OPERAT-, ING WITHIN SAID CITY; ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION '(C) to SAID SECTION WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE AUTHORIZED RATE OF FARE FOR SAID PASSENGERS; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFEECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Subsection (c) of Section 27-5, entitled "Fares" of Article '1, entitled "In-General" of Chapter 27, entitled "Taxicabs" of th~ Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, be and is hereby repealed., SECTION 2. That a new SubseCtion (et be, and is hereby substituted in place of said repealed subsection (c~lto read as follows: (c) The rate of fare for all passengers of any' taxicab service operating within the city shall be as follows: Zone One One passenger - Two or more passengers - $1.00 .60 Zone Two One passenger - $1.50 Two or more passengers - .85 SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from and after its passage and publication in a newspaper of general circulation. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading June 18, 1979.
