I RESOLUTION NO. 1979-49-R 184 I A RESOwrrON OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY Of SPN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR TIlE PERFORMANCE OF GOVERNMENTAL FUNCTIONS AND SERVICES, AND AUI'HORIZllIG THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALf Of THE CITY. WHEREAS, Article 4413( 32c), Texas Revised Civil Statutes, (Texas Interlocal Cooperation Act) pennits local governments to contract or agree with other local governments to perform governmental functions and services; and, WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, and the County of Hays, Texas, are local governments for purposes of the Texas Interlocal Cooperation Act; and, WHEREAS ,Article 2372s-3, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, penni ts the ccmmissioners court of a county by order to adopt regulations as to the parking of, vehicles on property owned by the county; and, WHEREAS, said City wishes to, and said County is willing for City to, enforce regulations as to the parking of vehicles surrounding real property owned by Hays County and on which is located the Hays County Courthouse; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF SPN MARCOS, TEXAS : I PART 1. That the contract between said City and said County for perfonnance of governmental functions and services, a copy of said contract being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby, in all things approved. PARI' 2. That the Mayor, John A. Hansen, or his successor, be, and is hereby, authorized to execute said contract on behalf of said City. PARI' 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect imnediately upon its passage. ADOPI'ED this 9th day of July, 1979. ~!2e~ lf~/.
