<br />OPJ)INANCE NO. 1979- 35 <br /> <br />~ <br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PN ORDINP.NCE OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AIXlPTING TIlE AMENDED REVENUE <br />SHARING ENTITLEMENT #8, #9 and #10 BUDGET FOR THE <br />1978-1979 FISCAL YF1\R BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1978 <br />AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1979; AND DEClARING AN <br />EMERGENCY . <br /> <br />vlHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos adopted the budget <br />for Revenue Sharing Entitlement #8 for fiscal year 1977 and the budget for <br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement #9 for the fiscal year beginning on October <br />1, 1977 and ending on September 30, 1978, on September 12, 1977; and, <br /> <br />1tJflEFFAS, the City Council of the City of San Harcos adopted the <br />budget for Revenue Sharing Entitlement # 10 for the fiscal year 1978-1979, <br />beginning on October 1, 1978 and ending on September 30, 1979, on September <br />13, 1978, and amended that budget on November 20, 1978; and, <br /> <br />hllclEREAS, the required public hearings were held pursuant to the <br />adoption of said budgets; and, <br /> <br />WHERFAS, in acccm::lance with Section 8.16 of the O1arter of the City <br />of San Marcos, the City Council desires to amend the budget and to alter <br />appropriation of certain Revenue Sharing Entitlement # 8, # 9 and #10 funds; <br />and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />V1flERFAS, the City Council finds that the need to fund necessary <br />projects which are not currently funded from other sources creates a public <br />necessity which requires such amendment; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF SAl{ MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That the amended Revenue Sharing Entitlement #8, #9 and <br />#10 budget as set forth in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein for all intents and purposes in words and figures as <br />shown therein be, and is herebY,approved and adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That due to the pressing financial obligations of the <br />City which must be discharged inrnediately, an emergency is hereby declared, <br />and provisions of the City O1arter requiring that ordinances be read on <br />three several days and that no ordinance shall become effective until the <br />expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage is <br />hereby dispensed with, this ordinance to be in effect immediately upon its <br />passage by this body. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND AIXlPTED this 13th day of August, 1979. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />~'~ <br /> <br />furiss Hambrick <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />{1~bf~JaJ <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />
