13 RE~OL1Jl'ION 58 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECLARING THE RESULT OF A SPECIAL CITY ELECTION HELD AUGUST 11, 1979. I WHEREAS, an Election was held on August 11, 1979 for the purpose of considering a proposition regarding collective bargaining for policemen: and, WHEREAS, it appears from said returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast at said election 319 valid and legal votes; and, WHEREAS, each side of the proposition question received the following amount of votes: FOR the proposition 109 votes AGAINST the proposition 210 votes NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Part 1. That said Election was duly called and notice of said Election was given in accordance with law and that in accordance with the order of this governing body, the Secretary posted notice of this meeting on the bulletin board located in City Hall, a place convenient to the public, and said notice having been posted and remaining posted continuously for at least three days preceding the date of this meeting. A copy of the return of said posting shall be attached to the minutes of this meeting and shall be made a part thereof for all intents and purposes. I Part 2. That a majority of the legally qualified voters voting in said election voted Against the proposition regarding collective bargaining for policemen, and said proposition is hereby declared to have failed. Part 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect as of this date.
