City secretary. <br /> <br />The city council shall appoint the city secretary, and such <br />assistant city secretaries as the city council shall deem ad- <br />visable, The city secretary, or an assistant city secretary, <br />shall give notice of council meetings, shan keep the minutes <br />of the proceedings of such meetings, shall authenticate by <br />signnture and record in full in a book kept and indexed for <br />the purpose, an ordinances and resolutions, and shall per- <br />form such other duties as the city mana>:c!' shall assign <br />and those elsewhCl'e provided for in this charter. (Amend. of <br />4-2-77) <br /> <br />Sec. 4.03. Corporation court. <br /> <br />(a) There shall be established and maintained a court, <br />designated as a "Municipal Court" for the trial of misde- <br />meanor offenses, with all such powers and duties as are now, <br />or may hereafter, be prescribed by laws of the State of Texas <br />relative to municipal or recorder's courts. <br /> <br />(b) The judge of said court shall be appointed by the city <br />council and shall receive such salary as may be fixed by the <br />city council. <br /> <br />(c) There shall be a clerk of said court appointed by the <br />city manager and who shall be responsible to the city manager. <br /> <br />(d) The clerk of said court and his deputies shall have the <br />power to administer oaths and affidavits, make certificates, <br />Supp, No. 11 13 <br /> <br />'. <br />
