~ 141 RESOLUTION NO. 1979- :79 I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACI' BEI'WEEN SAID CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF CCM>fERCE FOR THE ADMIN- ISTRATION OF SECTION 26-21 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO Elill::UTE SAID CONTRACI' AND DECLARING AN ~IVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos has enacted, in Article II of Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, a hotel occupancy tax; and, WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to =tract with persons or organizations for the administration of the funds collected from the hotel room occupancy tax pursuant to the guidelines for use of proceeds listed in section 26-21 of said Code; and, WHEREAS, the San Marcos Chamber of Carnnerce proposes to provide such service for the City of San Marcos and said City has previously contracted with the Chamber for said service; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARillS, TEXAS: SECTION 1: That the ~yor of the City of San Marcos, John A. Hansen, or his successor be, and is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of said City the Contract for Services between the City of San Marcos, Texas and the San Marcos Chamber of Canrrerce for the administration of section 26-21 of the Code of Ordinances of said city, which is attached hereto and designated as Exhibit A, said exhibit being incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
