<br />I <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />RESOLUTICN NO. 1978-4-R <br /> <br />, I <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SUSPENDING THE OPERA- <br />TION OF PROPOSED ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES <br />FILED BY THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY <br />FOR A PERIOD OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) <br />DAYS BEYOND JANUARY 25, 1978, THE DATE ON <br />WHICH SUCH SCHEDULES WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO <br />EFFECT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) did, on <br />December 22, 1977, file a schedule of rates for electric service <br />to become effective within the City of San Marcos on January 25, <br />1978; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, LCRA has formally withdrawn its October 10, 1977 request <br />for new rates to become effective on November 16, 1977; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council of <br />San Marcos on January 16, 1978, at which LCRA presented information <br />regarding the proposed rates requested to become effective on <br />January 25, 1978; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after having heard said presentation of the Lower Color'ado <br />River Authority, it is the opinion of the City Council of the <br />City of San Marcos that such schedule of rates should be suspended <br />for a period of 120 days from January 25, 1978, for further study, <br />investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESffiLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Part 1. , That, pursuant to Section 43(d) of the Public Utility <br />Regulatory Act, the operation of the Lower Colorado River Authority's <br />proposed rate schedules filed with the City of San Marcos on <br />December 22, 1977, is hereby suspended for a period of l21J. days <br />from January 25, 1978, for further study, investigation, presen- <br />tation of evidence and public hearing. <br /> <br />Part 2.
