I 15 RESOLUTICN NO. 1978-4-R , I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SUSPENDING THE OPERA- TION OF PROPOSED ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES FILED BY THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY FOR A PERIOD OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) DAYS BEYOND JANUARY 25, 1978, THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH SCHEDULES WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO EFFECT. WHEREAS, the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) did, on December 22, 1977, file a schedule of rates for electric service to become effective within the City of San Marcos on January 25, 1978; and, WHEREAS, LCRA has formally withdrawn its October 10, 1977 request for new rates to become effective on November 16, 1977; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council of San Marcos on January 16, 1978, at which LCRA presented information regarding the proposed rates requested to become effective on January 25, 1978; and, WHEREAS, after having heard said presentation of the Lower Color'ado River Authority, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of San Marcos that such schedule of rates should be suspended for a period of 120 days from January 25, 1978, for further study, investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing; now, therefore, BE IT RESffiLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: I Part 1. , That, pursuant to Section 43(d) of the Public Utility Regulatory Act, the operation of the Lower Colorado River Authority's proposed rate schedules filed with the City of San Marcos on December 22, 1977, is hereby suspended for a period of l21J. days from January 25, 1978, for further study, investigation, presen- tation of evidence and public hearing. Part 2. That this Resolu~ion shall become effective immediately from and after its passage.
