62a THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS Whereas on the 28th d~ of November, 1977, the City of San Marcos (City) and the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) entered into a contract whereby the Chamber would provide tourist I development and other services for the City and, in return, the City would allocate revenue from the Hotel Room Occupancy Tax to Chamber; and whereas both parties to the agreement desire to modify Paragraph IV of the said agreement to expand the sub- committee for the arts of the tourist development committee from three to five members and to provide that the City Council shall appoint three of the five members of the subcommittee. Now, therefore, in consideration of the continued performance by the Chamber and the continued allocation of Hotel Room Occupancy Tax revenues as specified in the agreement between the City and the Chamber on November .28, 1977, Paragraph IV of the original contract be, and is hereby, modified to read as follows: IV. I It is hereby further agreed that a subcommittee for the arts of the tourist development committee shall be formed to serve as an advisory committee to the Chamber on the expenditure of funds to be allocated under Section 26-21 (a), 26-21 (f) and 26-21 (g) of the ordinance. The mem- bership of the subcommittee is agreed to be composed of five (5) persons who shall serve for the term of this agreement, with three (3) of said members to be appointed by the City Council, and two (2) members by the Board of Directors of the Chamber.
