88 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1978-27-R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE CERTAIN SPECIFIED <br />FUND AND ACCOUNT CHANGES IN THE 1977-1978 <br />BUDGET. <br />WHEREAS, the San Marcos City Council accepted the audit for 1976- <br />1977 on January 30, 1978; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommended certain fund adjustments to <br />improve the financial position of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, these adjustments are acceptable to the Council and will <br />be duly disclosed by the auditors in the next audit; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />Part 1. That the City Manager is directed to make the following <br />fund and account changes: <br />A. The Revenue Sharing Funds shall be moved from the <br />General Fund to a separate Revenue Sharing Fund and <br />continuously accounted for out of this separate fund. <br />B. The Anti-Recessionary Funds from the Economic Develop- <br />ment Administration shall be placed in a separate fund <br />and continuously accounted for out of this separate <br />fund. An amount of $44,863 currently in the General <br />Fund shall be transferred to this Fund. <br />C. A separate account shall be established to handle all <br />payments for unemployment compensation, terminal sick <br />leave and terminal vacation leave. The City Manager is <br />hereby authorized to transfer from the General Fund <br />reserve an amount of $40,000 to this account and should <br />continuously budget for the anticipated annual expenses <br />of this Fund. <br />D. The City Manager shall transfer an amount of $54,796 <br />from the General Fund reserve to the debt service account <br />of the Utility Fund in order to maintain that fund at <br />its required minimum ammount. <br />Part 2. That this Resolution shall be in effect immediately from <br />and after its passage by this Council. <br />ADOPTED this 6th day of March, 1978. <br />a T.
