<br />163 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1978-48-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, RATIFYING APPROVAL OF A <br />CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MENTAL HEALTH- <br />MENTAL RETARDATION SERVICE CENTER AND RELATED <br />ITEMS. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, has <br />previously allocated $125,000 from the Community Development Program <br />and $7,500 from Revenue Sharing Entitlement #9 towards the construction <br />of a mental health-mental retardation service facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council has also previously approved a contract with <br />Lamar Constructors for construction of the facility; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That the contract between said City and Lamar Constructors <br />in the amount of $229,361 previously approved by motion of the Council <br />on May 15, 1978, be, and is hereby, ratified contingent upon the <br />approval of construction funds in the amount of $80,000 from the <br />Economic Development Administration, $21,275 from the Texas Department <br />of Community Affairs, and $4,000 from Hays CountyCornmissioners. <br /> <br />Part 2. That a change order in the amount of $11,588 as proposed <br />by the architects for the project be, and is hereby, in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Part 3. That the City agrees to provide all labor and equipment <br />for the sitework (excluding the area covered by the building), using <br />materials to be provided by the Contractor. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Part 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after <br />passage by this Council. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 1978. <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Robert L.
