<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1978-57-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A <br />GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT <br />OF COMMERCE, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />ADMINISTRATION FOR FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$80,000.00 TO BE APPLIED TO THE CONSTRUCTION <br />COSTS'OF A MENTAL HEALTH-MENTAL RETARDATION <br />CENTER IN SAN MARCOS; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />desires to have a mental health-mental retardation center <br />constructed in said city; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States"Department of Commerce, Economic <br />Development Administration, has agreed to provide financial <br />assistance toward the construction and equipping of said <br />facility; now, 'therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIl, OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the grant agreement bctwsen the City and the <br />Uni ted States Department of Commerce, "'Economic Development <br />Administration, a copy of which is attached and made a part <br />of this resolution, for the construction and equipping of a <br />mental health-mental retardation center be, and is hereby, <br />in all things approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />Mr. Robert L. Cavazos, or his successor, be, and is hereby, <br />authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
