<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE
<br />PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF PORTIONS
<br />OF LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 2, OF THE KATY
<br />ADDITION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />LOCATED WITHIN THE TEX. A-6, NEIGHBORHOOD
<br />DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA TO ST. JOHN'S
<br />FEDERAL CREDIT UNION; AND AUTHORIZING THE
<br />MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO ST.
<br />JOHN'S FEDERAL CREDIT UNION; AND DECLARING
<br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids
<br />for the sale of that certain real property known as part of
<br />Lots 2 and 3, Block 2, of the Katy Addition to the City of
<br />San Marcos, Texas, (see metes and bounds attached), located
<br />within the Tex. A-6, Neighborhood Development Program Area,
<br />in the San Marcos Record, a local newspaper with a general
<br />circulation in the County of Hays, State of Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted
<br />by St. John's Federal Credit Union for said above described
<br />property; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the said bid met the minimum disposition price set
<br />upon said property by the Board of Commissioners of the Urban
<br />Renewal Agency of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the said Board accepted the bid as the highest and
<br />best responsible bid for said property by a motion duly passed
<br />on July 11, 1978, after the bid opening of July 11, 1978; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said motion also approved the terms and conditions
<br />for the sale of the said property and recommended the approval
<br />of said purchase price and the approval of the terms and
<br />c0nditions for the sale, as contained in the bid documents,
<br />by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned bid and proposed use set forth in
<br />said bid and the sales terms and conditions pertinent thereto
<br />conform to the Redevelopment Plan for the development of the
<br />City as a whole; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale by the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, of Part of Lots 2 and 3, Block 2
<br />of the Katy Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas, to
<br />St. John's Federal Credit Union, are hereby approved.
<br />
<br />Section 2: That the consideration for the sale for said
<br />property being $14,000.00 for 14,000 square feet is hereby
<br />approved.
<br />
<br />Section 3. That the sale by the City of San Marcos is made
<br />subject to restrictions of the Redevelopment Plan for the
<br />Tex. A-6, Neighborhood Development Program, as approved and
<br />amended, said plan is on file and is available for inspection
<br />in the office of the Director of Community Development of the
<br />City of San Marcos. '

<br />Section 4. That the conditions of the disposition documents,
<br />including the deed and contract for sale for private redevelop-
<br />ment, are on file and are availahle for inspection in the
<br />office of the Director of Community Development of the City of
<br />San Marcos.
