JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN HAYS COUNTY <br />0 AND THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />This Joint Election Agreement is made this the 6th day of August, 2008, between the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, (the "City") 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666 and Hays <br />County (the "County"), 111 E. San Antonio Street, Suite 300, San Marcos, Texas 78666, <br />pursuant to Chapter 271 of the Texas Election Code. <br />The City and the County agree as follows: <br />Section 1. The City and the County agree jointly to hold an election. The joint election <br />will be held at the various polling places and election precincts hereinafter designated within the <br />corporate limits of the City, and within the boundaries of the County, on November 4, 2008, <br />from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at which joint election the qualified voters of the City <br />will consider twenty-one propositions proposing amendments to the City Charter, and elect a <br />Mayor, a City Council Member for Place 3, and a City Council Member for Place 4, and the <br />qualified voters of the County will consider a proposition(s) and Federal, State and County <br />offices. <br />Section 2. The election precincts for the City election shall be substantially the same <br />precincts as those Election Precincts of the County which are within the corporate limits of the <br />City, and for the County the election precincts shall be all Election Precincts of the County. <br />• Section 3.
