120. RESOLUTION 2004 - 74 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF 2004 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE GRANT PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. The City has received r~otice 'from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) thst entitiement funding has been approved under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for specific authorized programs for fiscal year 2004. 2. The City has solicited extensive citizen participation in determining the use of the CDBG entitlement funds. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The following allocation of 2004 CDBG funding in the total amount of $618,000.00 is approved contingent upon HUD's approval of the City's Action Plan in October 2004: CDBG Allocation Description Amount Applicant: COSM Health Department - 25-30 mini clean-ups COSM Parks and Recreation - skatepark COSM Public Works Department - Hopkins Street sidewalk construction Hays Caldwell Women's Shelter - facility expansion Southside Community Center- rehabilitation of homes The Village - Program Delivery $ 20,000.00 SI00,000.00 $150,400.00 SI03,000.00 $ 7O,OOO.OO $ 51,000.00 Administration $123,600.00 TOTAL: $618,000.00 PART2.
