120. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2004 - 74 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF 2004 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE OFFICIAL <br />REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY IN MATTERS RELATED TO THE <br />GRANT PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City has received r~otice 'from the U.S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development (HUD) thst entitiement funding has been approved under the <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for specific authorized <br />programs for fiscal year 2004. <br /> <br /> 2. The City has solicited extensive citizen participation in determining the use <br />of the CDBG entitlement funds. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The following allocation of 2004 CDBG funding in the total amount <br />of $618,000.00 is approved contingent upon HUD's approval of the City's Action Plan in <br />October 2004: <br /> <br />CDBG Allocation Description <br /> <br />Amount <br /> <br />Applicant: <br /> <br />COSM Health Department - 25-30 mini clean-ups <br />COSM Parks and Recreation - skatepark <br />COSM Public Works Department - Hopkins Street <br /> sidewalk construction <br />Hays Caldwell Women's Shelter - facility expansion <br />Southside Community Center- rehabilitation of homes <br />The Village - Program Delivery <br /> <br />$ 20,000.00 <br />SI00,000.00 <br /> <br />$150,400.00 <br />SI03,000.00 <br />$ 7O,OOO.OO <br />$ 51,000.00 <br /> <br />Administration <br /> <br />$123,600.00 <br /> <br />TOTAL: $618,000.00 <br /> <br /> PART2.
