ORDINANCE NO. 1978-49 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE <br />AMENDED REVENUE SHARING ENTITLEMENT #10 <br />BUDGET FOR THE 1978-1979 FISCAL YEAR <br />BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1978 AND ENDING <br />ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1979; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos adopted <br />the budget for Revenue Sharing Entitlement #10 for the fiscal <br />year 1978-1979, beginning on October 1, 1978 and ending on <br />September 30, 1979, on September 13, 1978; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter, <br />the City Council desires to amend the budget to reflect a <br />re-appropriation of certain Revenue Sharing Entitlement #10 <br />expenditures; and, <br />WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the amended budget for <br />the City of San Marcos Revenue Sharing Entitlement #10 budget <br />for fiscal year 1978-1979 was heretofore published in a <br />newspaper of general circulation within the City and said <br />public hearing on amended Revenue Sharing Entitlement #10 <br />budget was duly held on November 20, 1978, and all interested <br />persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against <br />any amendment to the Revenue Sharing Entitlement #10 budget <br />previously adopted; now, therefore, <br />116 <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. That the amended Revenue Sharing Entitlement 410 <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year <br />1978-1979, beginning on October 1, 1978 and ending on <br />' September 30, 1979 as set forth in Exhibit A which is attached <br />hereto and for all intents and purposes incorporated herein, <br />in words and figures as shown therein be, and is hereby <br />approved and adopted. <br />SECTION 2. That due to the pressing financial obligations of <br />the City which must be discharged immediately an emergency is <br />hereby declared, and provisions of the City Charter requiring <br />that ordinances be read on three separate days and no ordinance <br />shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days <br />following the date of its final passage is hereby dispensed <br />with, this ordinance to be in effect immediately upon its <br />passage by this body. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of November, 1978. <br />Ro ert L.
