138. <br /> <br /> ATTACHMENT B <br /> <br /> Scope of Services <br /> Kleinfelder Testing Services <br /> <br /> The Consultant will complete certain of the following tasks for each CIP Project as requested <br />by the City. The City will provide the Consultant with a written notice requesting services at least <br />five working days prior to the time professional testing services are required per City Project. <br /> <br /> In accordance with the terms of this Agreement, the Consultant will: <br /> <br />1.1 Compaction Testing <br /> <br />1.1.1 Implement an appropriate field monitoring and testing program to ensure that fill materials <br />are properly placed and compacted to include the following if requested by the City: <br /> <br /> a) percent compaction and soil moisture content requirements <br /> b) allowable fill/backfill materials <br /> c) testing frequency <br /> <br />1.1.2 Obtain sample(s) of proposed materials for laboratory evaluation. <br />1.1.3 Observe and document subgrade conditions prior to fill/backfill placement. <br />1.1.4 Observe and document proof-rolling operations. <br />1.1.5 Perform appropriate field testing to determine in-place moisture/density conditions. <br />1.1.6 Document field test locations. <br />1.1.7 Report test results to the City and to the Contractor's superintendent. <br /> <br />1.1.8 Re-test areas of failing moisture/density test results to document compliance with project <br />specifications. <br /> <br />1.2 Concrete Testing <br /> <br />1.2.1 Implement an appropriate field and laboratory testing program to confirm that the Portland <br />cement concrete provided is in conformance with project specifications, that it is properlyplaced and <br />that the results meet the specified design strength requirements to include: <br /> <br /> a) design strength/identification <br /> b) testing frequency <br /> c) placement requirements <br /> <br />Kleinfelder annual.wpd <br /> <br /> <br />
