<br />:- J <br /> <br />I' <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~JHEREAS, in H,\YS COUtiTY, the City of San r~arcos has requested <br />assistance in reconstructiori<li1 HazeHon Street from Girard Street, south- <br />west to Bishop Stl'eet, a distance of approximately 0.4 mile; and <br /> <br />WHEHEAS, Hazelton Street is included in the Urban System; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the State Department of High\vays and <br />Public Transportation to assist the City of San Marcos in such work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE" the Engineer-Director' is directed to tender the <br />following proposal to the City of San Marcos: <br /> <br />Provided the City will: <br /> <br />1. Provide for the adjustment of utilities, the construction of <br />continuous curb and gutter, storm sewers, driveways and side- <br />walks, all as may be requil'ed and all in accordance \'Iith <br />governing policies and regulations of the State Department of <br />_ Highways and Public Transportation. <br /> <br />2. Mai~tain all of the work constructed as part ot the project <br />and agree to regulate traffic, provide for parallel parking <br />and prevent encroachment on the right of way, all in accor- <br />dance with governing policies and regulations of the Depart- <br />ment. <br /> <br />Subject to the ava'ilability of Federal-aid Urban System funds and <br />the eligibility of the proposed work for financing with said funds., the <br />State Department of Highways and Public Transportation \'Iill: <br /> <br />1. Prepare construction plans and specifications. <br /> <br />2.
