<br />On this the 4th day of April, 1977, the City Council of the City of San Mn:cos,
<br />Texas, convened in Recessed Regular session open to the public at the regular
<br />meeting place thereof with the follaving manbers present, t:o--'wit: Emnie Craddock,
<br />Mayor; Councilmen Frank T. Arredondo, Ted Breihan, Robert L. Cavazos, John Hansen,
<br />Berry R. James and Kenneth E. SUtton; and City Secretary, Doriss Hambrick, and the
<br />following absent:

<br />constituting a quorum, and arrong other proceedings had were the follCMing:
<br />
<br />Councilman Breihan intrcduced a Resolution and Order and ffi)Ved
<br />its adoption. The rrotion was seconded by Councilman Hansen and the
<br />rrotion carrying with it the adoption of the Resolution and Order prevailed by the
<br />follCMing vote:

<br />AYE: Craddock, Arredondo, Breihan, Cavazos, Hansen, James, Sutton
<br />
<br />NAY: None.
<br />
<br />The Resolution is as follCMS:

<br />There came on to be considered the returns of an election held on the 2nd day
<br />of April, 1977, for the purpose of electing the he.t:einafter named officials and
<br />considering the hereinafter described propositions, and it appearing fran said
<br />returns, duly and legally made, that there were case at said election 2850 valid
<br />and legal votes; that each of tli.e:candi.dates and propositions in said election
<br />received the follCMing votes:

<br />6.09, 6.10, 7.04, 8.14, 9.02, 10.03, 10.04, 10.06, and 12.06 to change the WOIUS
<br />"Councilman" and "Councilmen" to "Council Manber (s)" and to generally reword the
<br />sections to insure that sex would not be a factor' in the consideration of any
<br />candidate for a position in City Government.
