<br />18 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1977-27-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS APPOINTING A PRESIDING JUDGE TO CONDUCT THE SPECIAL <br />ELECTION CALLED FOR APRIL 30, 1977 IN ELECTION PRECINCT #34 <br />IN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br /> <br />.Texas on April 11, 1977 establishing polling places and appointing election <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />officials for a special city election to be held April 30, 1977 for the purpose of <br /> <br />electing a Council Member for Place 2 on the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Presiding Judge for City Election Precinct #34 was not named in that <br /> <br />Resolution due to the fact that the person nominated for appointment to that office <br /> <br />had declined the nomination; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Mrs. J.R. Thornton, a 'l.ualif'ied ~oter '1nd resident of City <br /> <br />Election Precinct #34 in the City of San Marcos, Texas, be; and is hereby, appointed <br /> <br />to serve as Presiding Judge for the Special Election called for April 30, 1977, <br /> <br />to be held in Election Precinct #34 in said city. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 2.
