The Office of Traffic Safety, State Department of Highways and <br />Public Transportation (OTS) , will: <br /> <br />A. Reimburse the City of San Marcos for all allowable costs <br />(up to the limit specified on page 1) for the following <br />items: <br /> <br />1) Personal Services - Traffic Safety Coordinator I s salary', <br />fringe benefits, (FICA, WorkmeF's Comp., <br />Ins., Vacation & Sick Leave Accrual) and travel (mileac:re <br />expense for TSC. out of town travel to be approved in <br />advance by District Manager, OTS.). <br />2) Commodities - supplies, postage stamps and copies. <br />3) Other Direct Costs - Long distance telephone. <br /> <br />The City of San Uarcos shall bear all other costs. <br /> <br />B. Provide technical assistance when requested and whenever <br />possible. <br /> <br />II. The City of San Marcos will: <br /> <br />A. Provide coordination of all aspects of traffic safety <br />for the City. <br />B. Develop and implement programs designed to reduce traffic <br />crashes. <br />C. Train personnel in traffic safety techniques. <br />D. Develop in cooperation with those department heads which <br />have traffic safety responsibility a comprehensive traffic <br />safety plan. <br />E. Establish cooperation and coordination of those departments <br />within the City whose goals and duties are common with the <br />Traffic Safety Coordinator's. <br />F. Evaluate programs as to impact on the traffic safety problems <br />and make necessary revisions as needed in order to continue <br />toward achievement of traffic safety. <br />G. Submit to the Distrxct Manager, OTS, 3 copies each of <br />Quarterly Reimbursement Reports as per General provisions X <br />(Attachment 2) and Attachment ~ (Forms PR-4, PR-5, and <br />PR-7 may be omitted). <br />H. Bear all costs other than those specified iti I (A), above. <br /> <br />III.
