<br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />1411 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1977 --~O <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />1977-37, ADOPTED ON SEPTEMBER 12, 1977, WHICH <br />APPROVED THE TERMS ANDrCONDITIONS OF SALE <br />OF PARCEL NO. 36A-IA IN THE TEX. R 140(c) <br />URBAN RENEWAL AREA TO PINKY, LEE DOWELL AND <br />AUTHORIZED THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL <br />WARRANTY DEED TO MS. DOWELL, BY PROVIDING FOR <br />THE ISSUANCE OF A GENERAL WARRANTY DEED TO MS. <br />DOWELL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1977-37, adopted on September 12, 1977, the <br />City Council approved the terms and conditions of the sale of parcel no. <br />36A-IA, more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, in <br />the Tex. R-140(c) Urban Renewal Area, to Pinky Lee Dowell and authorized the <br />Mayor to execute a special warranty deed to Ms. Dowell; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been the policy of the City to convey land acquired <br />for redeve19pment under the Community Development Program to redevelopers <br />by general warranty deed; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1977-37, adopted by the City Council on <br />September 12, 1977, be and is hereby amended to authorize the Mayor to <br />convey parcel no. 36A-IA in the Tex. R-140(c) Urban Renewal Area, and which <br />is more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, to Ms. Pinky <br />Lee Dowell by general warranty deed. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the other terms and conditions of said Ordinance shall <br />remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency <br />and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions of the Charter <br />requiring that all ordinances be read at three separate meetings and that <br />no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of 10 days following <br />the date of its final passage, be, and is hereby, suspended, and the <br />Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTEll this 3rd da of October, 1977. <br /> <br />~~~~ <br /> <br />Frank T.
