177 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1976-3-R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE PROVISIONS OF <br />STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION MINUTE ORDERS REGARDING <br />RECONSTRUCTION ON FRANKLIN STREET, MOORE STREET, <br />AND HARVEY STREET. <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Department has received funding as a part of the <br />Federal Urban Highway System for construction, repair and maintenance of <br />certain designated streets within said City; and <br />WHEREAS, the State Highway Commission has approved Minute Orders 70839 and <br />708+0 covering reconstruction on Franklin Street and on Moore Street and <br />Harvey Street located in said City and has requested City Council concurrence <br />in said Minute Orders in order for them to become operative; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has noted an error in Minute Order 70839, page two, <br />paragraph two, regarding the boundary description of the street to be <br />reconstructed and wishes that error to be corrected by the State Highway <br />Commission; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That State Highway Commission Minute Order No. 70839 regarding <br />reconstruction of Franklin Street from Girard Street, southwest to Bishop <br />Street, a distance of approximately 0.3 mile be approved, contingent upon <br />the correction of paragraph two, page two of said Minute Order to read as <br />follows: <br />Upon acceptance of the provisions of this Order by the appropriate <br />officials of the City of San Marcos, IT IS ORDERED that Franklin Street <br />extending from Girard Street, South and West to Bishop Street, a <br />distance of approximately 0.3 mile .... <br />PART 2. That State Highway Commission Minute Order No. 708+0 regarding <br />reconstruction of Moore Street and Harvey Street from Hopkins Street to <br />San Antonio Street, a distance of approximately 0.1 mile be, and is hereby, <br />in all things approved. <br />PART 3.
