58 EESOLUTION NO. 1976-36-R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE APPLICATION'FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDS FOR ACTION YEAR TWO TO PROVIDE ImnrTIONAL FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PARCELS ll-lA AND 8-1 FROM THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. I WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved the application for Community Development funds for Action Year Two, pursuant to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, which called for the acquisition by the City of San Marcos, Texas, of Parcels ll-L' and 8-1 from the Urban Renewal Agency oT the' City of San Marcos, Texas, at a cost of $98,200.00; and WHEREAS, said application provided for $49,100.00 in,Community Development funds for the purchase of parcels ll-lA and 8-1 from the Urban Renewal Agency as part of the close out of,the Juan Veramendi, Tex. A-6, N.D.P., with the Soil Conservation Service providing an equal sum as a grant to' the City fliJr the purchase of said property; and WHEREAS, the Soil Conservation Service is not. able to provide the $49,100.00 grant for the purchase of thes~ parcels; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S~N MARCOS, TEXAS: I PART 1. That the Year Two Community Development application be amended to provide for an additional $49,100.00 to be allocated from the monies set aside for the purchase and. improvement of parcels ll-lA and 8 -1 115' park land for the purchase ,of these parcels. PART Z. That this amendment be: submi tted to' the Department of. Housing and Urban Development as' a part of the application for Year Two Community Development funds. PART 3.
