<br />121 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1976-53-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE <br />:OFTTHECOMPLETION OF T-HANGARS CONSTRUCTED AT <br />THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; AND AUTHOR- <br />IZING FINAL PAYMENT FOR THIS STRUCTURE. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has contracted with Alton <br />Watson, doing b~s~ness as Alton Watson Construction Company, for <br />the construction of a metal structure consisting of T-Hangars at <br />the San Marcos Municipal Airport, Caldwell County, Texas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the construction of these T-Hangars was completed and ready <br />for occupancy on the 12th day of October, A.D. 1976; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Airport Commission and the Chief Building Inspector <br />of the City of San Marcos inspected these T-Hangars on the 12th day <br />of October, A.D. 1976, and determined that the contractual provisions <br />for construction of said T-Hangars had been met by the Alton Watson <br />Construction Company on that date, with the exception that construc- <br />tion ran six days over the contract period, incurring a penalty of <br />Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for each of these six days; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Airport Commission of the City of San Marcos recommends <br />that the City Council accept the T-Hangars for use by the City <br />effective on the 12th day of October, A.D. 1976, and authorize final <br />payment to the Alton Watson Construction Company in the amount of <br />Five Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-two and ninety five one hundredths <br />Dollars ($5,372.95) less One Hundred-fifty Dollars ($150.00) which <br />latter amount represents a penalty fee for six days contract overrun; <br />and <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Alton Watson requests final payment for 'the completion <br />of the T-Hangar building; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the work performed by the Alton Watson Construction <br />Company in constructing the T-Hangars at the San Marcos Municipal <br />Airport, be, and is hereby, accepted as being complete effective on <br />the 12th day of October A.D. 1976, pursuant to the terms of the contract <br />for said structure. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the City of San Marcos is hereby authorized to make <br />the final payment to the Alton Watson Construction Company for said <br />construction in the amount of Five Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-two <br />and Ninety~five one hundredths Dollars ($5,222.95). <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
