128 RESOLUTION NO. 1976-55-R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY FOR THE PRO- VIDING OF PLANNING ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS BY TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO EXECUTE THE SAME IN AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. I WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas has previously entered into an agreement with Texas A&M University providing for the assistance of the University for planning purposes in connection with the Phase I study of the central business district for the City of San Marcos; and WHEREAS, the City now desires to enter into an agreement with Texas A&M University for the Phase II portion of the study of the central business district by the authorization of the conducting of an Urban Design laboratory course by the University; and WHEREAS, Texas A&M University desires to carry out said laboratory course for the benefit of its faculty and stuaents; now, therefore, I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the agreement attached hereto and incorporated herein be, and is hereby, approved by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas. PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Dr. Emmie Craddock, or her successor, be, and is hereby, authorized to execute the same in and on behalf of the City of San Marcos, Texas. PART 3.
