Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ZONING FOR TRAFFIC AND <br />RATE OF SPEED THEREIN, ON F.M. HIGHWAY 621 IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS; DEFINING SPEEDING AND FIXING A PENALTY THEREFOR; <br />DECLARING WHAT MAY BE A SUFFICIENT COMPLAINT IN PROSECUTIONS HEREUNDER; <br />WITH A SAVING CLAUSE REPEALING CONFLICTING LAWS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be Passed, Approved and Adopted. Mr. Flores <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The Mayor read the caption of a Resolution as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH AQUARENA, INC., LEASING TO THE <br />CITY CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE AQUARENA SPRINGS GOLF COURSE AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE THE SAME <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. <br />Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Flores requested the water <br />furnished the golf course be metered, and seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PRICES AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE <br />URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF PARCEL 13D-4A, <br />13D-4B, 13D-5, 13D-7A, 13D-7B AND 13D-8A (SEE LEGAL READINGS), LOCATED <br />WITHIN THE JUAN VERAMENDI, PROJECT NDP, TEX. A-6, TO REYNALDO GARZA, <br />TONY GONZALES, RAMON ORTUNIO SOLE PROPRIETORS. <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Ordinance on second reading. Mr. Sutton <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT CERTAIN <br />ORDINANCE NUMBERED 1974-61 ESTABLISHING THE SALARY SCHEDULE AND <br />AUTHORIZED POSITIONS OF THE POLICE AND FIRE SERIES BY REDUCING THE <br />NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED FIRE TRAINEES AND FIRE FIGHTERS FROM 23 IN <br />NUMBER TO 22 IN NUMBER AND RAISING THE STARTING SALARY FOR SAID <br />POSITIONS FROM $461 MONTHLY TO $486 MONTHLY. <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on third and final reading. <br />Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared <br />the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br />Mr. Forrest Cockrell, representing Black and Veatch Consultants, came before the <br />Council with a summary of a report prepared on an investigation conducted of <br />the local Lower Colorado River Authority power distribution plant. Said report <br />may be found in the official files of the City. <br />140
