<br />IBO-u <br /> <br />4, Street Jogs. Street jogs with centerline offsets of <br />less than one hundred twenty-five feet (125') shall be <br />prohibited, <br /> <br />5. Half Streets or Half Alleys. No half streets or half <br />alleys will be permitted along the boundaries of proposed <br />subdivisions. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Street Intersections. Street intersections shall be as <br />nearly at right angles as practicable, giving due regard <br />to terrain and topography. Curb radii shall conform to <br />City standards. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Dead-End Streets. Dead-end streets shall be prohibited <br />except as short stubs to permit future expansion, and <br />shall not exceed one hundred fifty feet (ISO') in length, <br /> <br />8. Cul-de-Sac. A cul-de-sac shall not be more than five <br />hundred feet (500') in length unless approved by the <br />Commission for specific reasons of topography or engine- <br />ering design. In residential areas, the turnaround shall <br />have a minimum right-of-way radius of fifty feet (50') <br />and a minimum driving surface radius of eighty feet (80'), <br /> <br />9. Marginal Access Streets. Where a subdivision has frontage <br />on an arterial street, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />may require marginal access streets be provided on both <br />sides or on the subdivision side of the arterial street, <br />if the arterial street borders the subdivision, unless the <br />adjacent lots back up to the arterial street, or unless <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission determines such mar- <br />ginal access streets are not desirable under the facts of <br />a particular case for adequate protection of the lots and <br />separation of through and local traffic. <br /> <br />10. Minbr Streets. Minor streets shall be laid out so as <br />to discourage their use by through traffic. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />11. Streets on Thoroughfare Plan. Whenever a tract to be <br />subdivided borders on or embraces any part of any <br />street or parkway so designated on the Thoroughfare Plan, <br />such part of such proposed public way shall be platted <br />by the subd1vider in the same location and at the same <br />width as indicated on the Thoroughfare Plan. <br /> <br />12, Street Grades and Horizontal Curves. Minimum and maximum <br />street grades and horizontal curves shall conform to the <br />City standards. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Pavement Widths and Rights-of-Way. <br />rights-of-way shall be as follows: <br /> <br />Pavement widths and <br /> <br />a. Arterial streets shall have a right-of-way width of <br />at least eighty feet (80') with a pavement width of <br />at least sixty feet (60'). <br /> <br />b, Collector streets shall have a right-of-way width of <br />at least seventy feet {70') and a pavement width of <br />at least forty-four feet (44'). <br /> <br />c. Marginal access streets shall have a right-of-way <br />width of at least sixty feet (60') and a pavement <br />width of at least thirty-six feet (36'). <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />d. Minor streets shall have a right-of-way width of at <br />least sixty feet (60') and a pavement width of at <br />least thirty-six feet (36'). <br />
