RESOLUTION NO. 1975-lS-R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS PRELIMINARILY APPROVING A DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO SUBMIT SAID PLAN TO THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE FOR APPROVAL. I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas des res to provide a Deferred Compensation Plan for the benefit of ts employees pursuant to S.B. 872 as enacted by the 63rd Leg slature of the State of Texas; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~ITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That a "Deferred Compensation Plan drafted pursuantc: to S.B. 872 is enacted by the 63rd Legislature of the State of Texas and evidenced by the attached Deferred Compensation Agree- ment and the Deferred Compensation Plan Salary Reduction Author- ization be, and is hereby, preliminarily approved subject to the ruling of the Internal Revenue Service of the United States Government. PART 2. That the City Attorney, Mr. Tom Akins, or his suc- cessor:, be, and is hereby, authorized to submit said Plan to the Internal Revenue Service for approval. I PART 3.
