<br />69 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1975 - 30 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT <br />CERTAIN ORDINANCE WHICH ESTABLISHES THE CLASSIFICATION OF <br />ALL POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN, THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS OF EACH <br />CLASSIFICATION, AND THE SALARY IN STEPS FOR EACH CLASSIFICATION, <br />BY AMENDING THAT SECTION NUMBERED 2-31 ENTITLED "JOB CLASSIFICATION <br />AND SALARY" SO AS TO CREATE THE POSITION OF FIRE TRAINING OFFICER <br />OF THE FIRE SERIES, AUTHORIZING ONE SUCH POSITION, ESTABLISHING <br />A SALARY SCHEDULE FOR SUCH POSITION AND REDUCING THE NUMBER OF <br />AUTHORIZED FIRE CAPTAINS FROM 4 TO 3 IN NUMBER. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has previously passed an Ordinance <br /> <br />establishing the classification of all policemen and firemen, the number of <br /> <br />positions of each classification, and the salary in steps for each class if i- <br /> <br />cation; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1, That that certain ordinance establishing the classification of <br /> <br />all policemen and firemen, the number of positions of each classification, and <br /> <br />the salary in steps for each classification numbered Section 2-31, and en- <br /> <br />titled "Job Classification and Salary" be, and is herej>y, in all things amended <br /> <br />sa as to create the position of Fire Training Officer of the fire series, <br /> <br />authorize one such position and establish a salary schedule for such position <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />as reflected on the attached schedule. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That that certain ordinance establishing the classification of all <br /> <br />policemen and firemen, the number of positions of each classification, and the <br /> <br />salary in steps for each classification numbered Section 2-31, and entitled <br /> <br />"Job Classification and Salary" be, and is hereby, in all things amended so as to <br /> <br />reduce the number of authorized Fire Captains from 4 to 3 in number. <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
