126 RESOLUTION NO. 1975-46-R A RESOL1lTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE GENERAL SERVICES AIlMINISTRATION FOR THE ACQUISITION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY, BEING A "PORTION OF FORMER CAMP GARY, CALDWELL COUNTY, TEXAS, GSA CONTROL NO. L-TEX-669-H, CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 1. 203 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, AND FIVE FUEL STORAGE TANKS. I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos desires to acquire the above specified property for the purpose of airport development; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to designate the City Manager, Mr. James B. Baugh, to act as the authorized representative in all matters pertaining to the transfer of the property; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY TRE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That Mr. James B. Baugh, City Manager, or his successor, be, and is hereby, authorized to submit an application to the General Services Administration, United States Government, under the provisions of Section 13(g) of the Surplus Property Act of 1944, as amended, and regulations and procedures promulgated thereunder, for the purpose of acquiring surplus property being "a portion of former Camp Gary, Caldwell County, Texas, GSA control No. L-TEX-669-H, consisting of approximately 1.203 acres, more or less, and five fuel storage tanks. PART 2. That the City of San Marcos is authorized, willing and in aposition to assume immediate care and maintenance of the property. PART 3.
