<br />67 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1974-I-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING DEEDS TO THE <br />TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR <br />THE WIDENING OF LOOP 82 WITHIN THE CORPORATE <br />LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SAME. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />is committed to the extension and improvement of public roads <br />and highways within the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that such programs <br />are in the public interest, safety, and welfare; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that Loop 82 <br />within said City should be developed pursuant to the foregoing <br />considerations; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That the City participate in the development of <br />Loop 82 by making available to the Texas Highway Department <br />right-of-way for the widening of said Loop; said right-of-way <br />being more particularly described by deeds attached hereto. <br /> <br />Part 2. That the deeds from the City to the Texas Highway <br />Department be, and are, hereby in all things approved. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Part 3. That Mr. James B. Baugh, City Manager for said City, <br />or his successor, be, and is, hereby authorized to execute said <br />deeds and other necessary action to effectuate the considerations <br />expressed herein. <br /> <br />Part 4.
