<br />74 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1974-3-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, STATING THE INTENT OF SAID CITY TO DESIGNATE A TRACT <br />OF LAND FOR THE SITE AND LOCATION OF A MUSEUM; AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH <br />TEXAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, INC. FOR THE PLACEMENT OF A MUSEUM <br />BUILDING. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, desires to <br />participate in the establishment of a museum within said City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide a site for said museum; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into contractual agreements with <br />Texas Museum of History, Inc. for the placement of a building on said site; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That a certain tract of land dedicated to use for public museum <br />purposes by deed executed by the Urban Renewal Agency of San Marcos, Texas, <br />be, and is hereby,designated for the site and location of a public museum, <br />said tract commonly known as Parcel 1-A,2 as designated by the Urban Renewal <br />Plan for the City of San Marcos, except that part presently occupied by the <br />City's Police and Court Building. <br /> <br />I <br />II <br /> <br />Part 2. That the City Man~ger, James B. Baugh, or his successor, be, and <br />is hereby, authorized to enter into contractual agreements with Texas Museum <br />of History, Mnc. for the placement of a museum building on said site and to <br />take all steps necessary to effectuate the intents and purposes expressed <br />herein. <br /> <br />Part 3.
