" I I I 80 ORDINANCE NO. 1974 - 7 ORDER FOR REGULAR CITY ELECTION THE STATE OF TEXAS I CITY OF SAN MARCOS I I, Eddy A.Etheredge, in my capacity as Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, do hereby order that an election be held in said City on the 2nd day of April, 1974, for the purposes of electing the following officials for said City and submitting the following propositions, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of San Marcos and the laws of the State of Texas. The following officials of the City shall be elected: COUNCILMAN, PLACE 1 COUNCILMAN, PLACE 2 COUNCILMAN, PLACE 3 COUNCILMAN, PLACE 5 (Unexpired Term) The following propositions shall be submitted: PROPOSITION NUMBER ONE FOR: REMOVING THE RESTRICTION FOR PARK LAND USE ONLY FROM THE TRACT OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE MEMORIAL PARK BASEBALL FIELD SITUATED ADJACENT TO ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH SO AS TO MAKE THIS SITE AVAILABLE FOR A CITY HALL; SAID LAND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING at an iron pipe being a corner of a 53.8 acre tract out of the J;M. Veramendi League NO. Two being situated on the 'east side of the San Marcos River; said iron pipe bears N 440 13' E 827.3 feet from an iron pipe at the head of a ravine; THENCE south 410 21' east an approximate distance of 672.0 feet to a point on the northwest right-of-way line of the M.K.T. Railroad; THENCE with the curving line of said right-of-way an approximate distance of 940.0 feet to a point on the northeast line of said 53.8 acre tract deeded to the San Marcos Memorial Recreation Park by Victor W. and Ruth Munk as recorded in Volume 114, Page 190, Hays County Deed Records; THENCE with the northwest line of said 53.8 acre tract north 450 55' west an approximate distance of 153.0 feet to a point on the south right-of-way line of Ranch Road No. 12, also known as Hopkins Street, at approximately Engineer's Station 95+88; THENCE following the curving line of said Ranch Road 12 right-of-way in a westerly direction an approximate distance of 1050.0 feet to a point at approximately Engineer's Station 85+12; THENCE south 410 21' east an approximate distance of 148.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. AGAINST: REMOVING THE RESTRICTION FOR PARK LAND USE ONLY FROM THE TRACT OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE MEMORIAL PARK BASEBALL FIELD SITUATED ADJACENT. TO ST.
