61 ORDINANCE NO. 1974 - 55 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE CREATING THE BELVIN STREET HISTORICAL DISTRICT BY ADDING TO AND INCLUDING IN SAID HISTORICAL DISTRICT THAT PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE MASONIC TEMPLE, AND DELETING FROM SAID DISTRICT THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY NELL MONTGOMERY. I WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos has previously enacted an Ordinance creating the Belvin Street Historical District; and WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos desires to delete certain property from said District; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Section 1. That that certain ordinance creating the Belvin Street Historical District be, and is hereby, amended so as to include in said District that certain property known as the Masonic Temple, being 1030 Belvin Street. Section 2. That that certain ordinance crea~ing the Belvin Street Historical District be, and is hereby, amended so as to exclude and delete from said ordinance that certain property owned by Nell Montgomery, being 819 Belvin Street. Section 3. That the Zoning Administrator be, and is hereby, authorized and hereby directed to change that certain map designating the Belvin Street Historical District so as to include and delete the foregoing properties, said map having been incorporated in that certain ordinance creating the Belvin Street Historical District and incorporated and attached thereto for all intents and purposes. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading August 26, 1974.
